Art Charges

Art charges vary considerably depending upon the complexity of the job. You will be charged our cost (time and materials) to prepare your design for reproduction.

 

Layout Guideline

If no specific layout instructions are provided, we will arrange the artwork submitted using our best judgment.

 

Camera Ready Separated Artwork

To avoid art charges, please submit clean BLACK & WHITE COLOR-SEPERATED artwork per requirements below.  We prefer disk or e-mail format.  See computer generated artwork below.  If paper artwork is supplied, we recommend 300 dpi art printed 3 times actual size.  Art charges may apply per schedule above when PHOTOCOPIED or FAX TRANSMISSIONS are used as art.

 

 Computer Generated Artwork

We can accept 300 dpi artwork produced in Macintosh® format using Adobe Illustrator™ CS5 or earlier, Photoshop® CS5 or earlier, Macromedia Freehand® MX or earlier or QuarkXPress® v7.0 or earlier and supplied to us on a CD or DVD.  Please send artwork for production following the steps below:

1.   Gather all materials used to create the file, making sure to include all placed files, PICT, TIFF, EPS.

2.   Include all fonts used in the file. Remember that PostScript™ fonts require two parts A) bitmap screen fonts and B) outline printer fonts to operate correctly.  If possible, convert all types to path or outlines to avoid having to send fonts.

3.   Compress all files being submitted. Use STUFFIT!, Compactor Pro, Disk Doubler, Now-Compress, WinZip or similar utility.  Always save files as a self-extracting archive .sea or .sit before saving to disk.  If art is created using a platform other than Macintosh®, please contact customer service for specific instructions,

All submitted artwork will be sized to maximum imprint area unless otherwise specified.

 

Change of Color or Copy:

         Copy change and color change within an order are not available.

For Towels: Copy changes within an order incurs regular setup charges for each item per color. Color charges with exact same art in a different color are available. Add $120.00 (G) per color for beach towels and $120.00 (G) for golf or rally towels for screen wash charge necessary to change ink color. Catalog quantity minimum applies per change of color.

 

Color Matches

PMS colors will be matched as closely as possible.  Contact customer service for price of exact color match.  Standard PMS colors are as follows:

Blank Towel Orders

Next day shipping is available on bulk pack blank towel orders received by 11 AM CST. Add 1-day for optional grommet and hook. Subject to inventory availability.

 

Drop Shipments

A single order shipping to multiple locations requires a $5.00 (G) drop ship charge per address.  Please fill out the attached EXCEL worksheet with the list of shipping addresses and email to customer service. 

For towels or bibs: Multiple shipping destinations: $10.00 (G) per destination for more than 2 destinations.

 

Event Guarantee

If your event is missed because LarLu did not ship your order in time, you don't pay. To engage our event guarantee, please follow these 5 guidelines to meeting event dates:

1.       Camera ready/approved artwork must be provided. Multi-color artwork or proofs may add additional days to the production schedule.

2.       Purchase orders must indicate event guarantee, and include ship date, event date, and shipping method.

3.       Production time must be in compliance with catalog published Standard Production Time, or be agreed to in writing by customer service.

4.       Catalog quantities only.

5.       Stock products (i.e. stock erasers, pencils) subject to on-hand inventory.

 

Order Cancellation

All orders cancelled after being moved into production are subject to a cancellation charge.  The cancellation charge will vary according to the point in production at which it was cancelled.

 

Imprinting McArthur Towel & Sports Product

            Appliques: Appliques are available. Please contact factory for pricing and lead times.

            Embroidery: Embroidery pricing is based on stitch count.

            Embroidery repeat order: Tapes are held on file for 3 years from original order date and there are no repeat order charges during this period.

            Digitizing Fees for Robes: One-time digitizing up to 8,000 stitches is FREE for all robe orders of 144 or more. If stitch count is over 8,000 stitches, add

$20.00 (G) per 1,000 stitches. For orders under 144 pieces, add less than minimum charge of $30.00 (G). Minimum lettering size is 3/16”- for robes not

towels.

            Digitizing Fees for Towels: $20.00 per 1,000 stitches. Minimum of $30 and Maximum of $300.

            Fiber reactive: price includes edge to edge decorating in up to 8 colors on towel. Please submit artwork for FREE review of design for best results

before printing begins.

4-Color Process: Please submit artwork for review and quote. Some designs are recommended to include additional spot for best results. Set up charge for 4 color process is $560.00 (G). Additional spot colors if applicable are $120 (G) per color.

Spectra Color: available on select items shown in the catalog. Pricing includes full color imprint including PMS color match.

T-Printing: McArthur’s exclusive T-Print technology allows you to bring the most vibrant colors and sharpest detail to life. Please contact customer service for a quote. Available in 26 stock ink colors at no charge. Custom colors available, add $31.00 (G) per color.

 

Packaging Options

            Rolling and Strapping: $1.00 (G) per unit

            Vinyl Case, folded and inserted: $0.50 (G) per unit

            Pallet Charge and Shrink Wrapping: $12.50 (G) per pallet for orders shipping via freight

            Polybagging: (up to 11 pieces per bag – limited on size of towel): $0.24 (G)

 

 

Overruns and Underruns

Due to the method of manufacturing used, it is nearly impossible to manufacture the precise number of units ordered.  All orders are subject to 5% overrun or underrun, and will be considered as complete.

 

Personalization

·         Personalization is printed in a single color straight line copy only with no outlines, drop shadows or other font effects applied.

·         Standard Sans Serif font is Helvetica.  Standard Serif font is Times.  Not all font styles can be personalized.  Please contact customer service for additional information on font styles available.

·         Personalization information must be provided in an EXCEL spreadsheet format and sent on CD, DVD, or e-mailed.  For multiple personalization fields, used multiple columns of your worksheet.  For multiple copies of the same line of information, add a column to your worksheet indicating the number of copies for each.

·         Please contact customer service for additional instructions on preparing your EXCEL worksheet, special packaging or box labeling requirements.

·         Products are bulk packed in order by the list provided.  Case pack and boxing varies by product ordered.

Personalization for towels: Is available on embroidered and jacquard products. Add $1.50 (G) each per name for jacquard towels. Add $7.50 (G) each per name for embroidered products.

 

Production Time

            For orders requiring special artwork, additional preparation time must be allowed.

·         Lead times: All lead times are based on receipt of complete order and artwork.  If proof is requested, lead times are based on day after proof approval, or as agreed with customer service.  Lead times are approximate and are not guaranteed.

·         Rush service: Every effort will be made to meet the needs of your events.  Rush service is available and may require additional charges.  Please check with customer service prior to committing to a rush need date.  Applicable charges will be determined prior to order acceptance.

 

Proofing & Sampling Procedure

No charge for faxed or e-mailed proofs.  Color paper proofs: $20.00 (G), plus art preparation if applicable.

Random samples

Available at no charge on items under $5.00 end quantity price. Any samples over $5.00 are available at end quantity price.

            Actual product proofs:

1.      For products priced with “Price Includes Full Color Imprint,” the cost of a Spec Sample or Pre-Production proof is $80.00 (G) setup charge for the product plus the cost of the product at first quantity.  Excludes Regulator Wall Clocks, Chesapeake wall clocks and 4-color process imprints.  In these instances, please call for a quote.

2.      For products priced with setup charges that are priced “Per Color,” the cost for a Spec Sample or Pre-Production proof is $80.00 (G) per color plus the cost of the product at the first quantity.

3.      If changes are made to artwork, additional setup charges apply.  If spec sample artwork is not changed, no additional setup charges apply at time order is produced. Unit pricing on the order will receive quantity pricing as ordered.

4.      For McArthur Towel & Sports products:

a.     Screen Printing: For spec samples and pre-production proofs, setup charges and cost of product will be invoiced. Samples will be sent within 4 working days from receipt of approved art. Upon approval, repeat setup charges will apply.

b.    Embroidery: Sample cost is the same price of each individual product. Sample will be sent within 72 hours from art approval.

c.     Fiber Reactive: Set-up charges apply to sampling but will be waived once order is placed on all orders that meet the fiber minimum order quantity. Sample lead times vary depending on the time of year – approximately 14-21 days.

d.    Jacquards: Spec sample with PO for minimum order – No Charge. Exact spec sample is available for $400.00 (G) each. For sample using current colors on factory loom - $100.00 (G) each. Samples will be sent within 10 working days of art approval.

e.     Spectra Color: Samples available for $80 (G) each plus cost of product. Lead time is 5 working days.

f.     T-Printing: Please contact customer service for pricing. Samples will be sent within 5-7 working days of approved art.

 

Return Policy

All return requests must be made within 30 days of original ship date.  Please obtain a written return authorization from customer service.  Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

 

Logos and Trademarks

All artwork, designs, logos and trademarks, (with and without registration marks) shown in this catalog are reproduced only as examples of our capabilities and quality. They are not for sale and do not represent an endorsement of that particular product or any product within this catalog. By submitting an order to LarLu, the distributor represents that the use of such artwork, designs, logos and trademarks will not violate any applicable laws or client restrictions, and hereby agrees to defend and hold LarLu harmless from any and all claims.

 

Accuracy

All thermometers are guaranteed accurate to within two degrees Fahrenheit.

 

Warranty

All clocks and thermometers have a limited, 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.

  

Sales Tax Information

Customers in the states of Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin must pay sales tax unless a signed exemption or resale certificate is on file.

 

Shipping

We will ship by the best means available, depending on size and destination of shipment.  On 1-100 lbs. normal shipment by UPS unless another method is specified.  Please provide street address.  COD shipments are not available. There will be a $3.00 (X) fee when billing your shipping account number.

For Towels: Items Shipping UPS or FedEx incur a $1.00 (G) per carton handling fee. Items shipped freight will incur a $12.50 (G) palletizing and shrink wrapping fee.

 

Union Label

Available by request for celluloid buttons and memo boards only.  Add $135.00 (G) setup.  Add five (5) additional production days.
